Dear brothers and sisters,
“I felicitate with Nigerian Muslims on this spiritual occasion as we join the Islamic world to mark the end of Ramadan with the Eid el Fitri celebration. Let me specially congratulate Muslim residents of the State on the successful completion of the Ramadan fast.
“The sacrifices made during the holy month of Ramadan should draw all Muslims closer to God. I enjoin all our Muslim brothers and sisters to draw enduring lessons from Ramadan, which include personal sacrifices, piety and self denial. I also call on you all to emulate the good virtues of Prophet Mohammed. I appeal to members of the Muslim faith to look beyond all artificial social, political and economic divisions including minor ethnic and religious differences in society and abide strictly with the teachings of the Koran and Holy Prophet Mohammed”.
“Dear believers in the Islamic faith, I enjoin you to see the growing cases of violence leading to wanton destruction of lives and properties as a challenge, which calls for greater dedication to the wishes of Allah that we should live in peace and prosper together”.
“I implore all Muslims and indeed all Nigerians, to ensure that peace, which is one of the cardinal principles of all religions, continues to reign and is reflected in all your dealings even after Ramadan. Peace is very essential to the development of any nation. We should all, therefore, continue to pray and work for the peace and unity of the nation”.
“As Nigerians, we should exhibit oneness to be able to stand strong together through diverse difficulties and challenges, to achieve our goals as a nation. We must focus on the things that bind us together. This is why we celebrate together”.
“On behalf of my family, the people and Government of Delta State, I heartily felicitate with all Deltans as we all celebrate Eid El Fitri.”
“Happy Eid El Fitri to you all”!
