Eid-el-Maulud: Uduaghan Urges Sober Reflection, Renewed Faith In Nigeria

AS the Muslims world over celebrate Eid-el-Maulud, to mark the birth of Prophet Mohammed, Delta State Governor, Dr. Emmanuel Uduaghan has called on all Muslims and indeed all Deltans to share with one another and spread the virtues of peace, love and charity which the Holy Prophet represents.
In his goodwill message, the governor enjoined Nigerians, especially Moslems to use the festival as a period of sober reflection on the numerous challenges facing the country.
“I sincerely hope that all Deltans will regard the festive season as a period of renewal of faith and hope for a better future.
I urge all Muslims to continue to follow the exemplary leadership of the noble Prophet Mohammed for a peaceful and egalitarian society. Prophet Mohammed lived a complete life worthy of emulation by all; anybody who imbibes such exemplary leadership style would enjoy the essence of life. I therefore, call on all Deltans and residents of the State to live in peace and harmony.
My administration will continue to promote the welfare of all citizens while ensuring the protection of lives and property in the State. We remain fully committed to delivering on our promise of a prosperous Delta State beyond oil. I assure all Deltans of better years ahead as we work tirelessly to bring the desired change for a better and more developed Delta State.
I wish all Deltans, particularly our Moslem brothers and sisters, joyful celebrations during the holiday as I also pray for the warmth of Allah’s love to fill every home.
