Micro Credit Scheme: Delta Gets More Kudos

ENUGU State Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (ECCIMA), has lauded the Delta State Micro Credit Scheme, describing it as the major plank of the economic development in the state.
The president of the chamber, Dr. Theo Okonkwo gave the commendation, yesterday in Asaba during a courtesy visit to the state government by a delegation of council members from the eastern state.

The ECCIMA president who was in the state to intimate the state Government of its forthcoming 23rd Enugu International Trade Fair, also, lauded the state government for its developmental strides in agriculture, infrastructure, education, security, and health.
Specifically, the ECCIMA president gave a pat on the back to the Uduaghan administration for its vision and implementation of the on-going Asaba International Airport.
Okonkwo who was accompanied on the visit by the leadership of Asaba Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mine and Agriculture (ASACCIMA), canvassed the need for governments in the South East/South- South regions of the country to partner with the organised private sector through Public Private partnership initiative in order to drive the economy in the zone.
“There is the dire need to pursue vigorously the issue of the state of infrastructure especially power generation and supply if we must advance to the next level of business and economic development” Okonkwo said.
Receiving the team to the state, the state Commissioner for Commerce and Industry, Mr Kingsley Emu, represented by the Permanent Secretary in the Ministry, Barrister Hyacinth Osunhor, pledged the state government’s readiness to partner the Enugu State Government in the forthcoming trade fair.
