Delta PDP Flags Off Guber Campaign Next Week

ASABA-The Delta state chapter of the Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP) will flag off its gubernatorial election campaign next week. The party’s gubernatorial candidate, Senator Ifeanyi Okowa gave the indication yesterday at his campaign organisation secretariat, in Asaba while addressing PDP candidates for the various elective positions in the forthcoming general elections.
Sen. Okowa, who is also the incumbent Senator representing Delta North Senatorial District at the National Assembly, stressed the need for all hands to be on deck to ensure total victory for the party.

While pointing out that the party was not prepared to lose a single ward during the elections, the PDP flag bearer urged the party faithful to reach out to all nooks and crannies of the state to conscientise the electorate so as to ensure total victory.
He re-emphasised the need for the campaign council to focus on issues that could unite all Deltans while shunning those that have divisive tendencies, adding that with unity of purpose, a lot could be accomplished.

Dr. Okowa also stressed the need for reaching out to aggrieved members of the party with a view to reconciling with them.
The meeting which later went into a closed door session was attended by all party candidates, the state party chairman, Chief Edwin Uzor and the state Publicity Secretary, Hon. Deighan Macaulay among others.
