Okowa, Sellable Candidate – Macaulay

THE Secretary to the Delta State Government (SSG), Comrade Ovuozourie Macaulay, has described Senator Ifeanyi Okowa, Delta State Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP) bearer as a sellable candidate that would emerge victorious at the February 28, 2015 polls.
Comrade Macaulay stated this in an interview with The POINTER during the flag-off of PDP campaign at Oghara, Ethiope West Local Government Area of Delta State.
The SSG said that what PDP needed to do which it has done was to give the people a candidate that is sellable.
His words, “Senator Ifeanyi Okowa is more than sellable. I have known Dr. Okowa since the Second Republic. He has been a Secretary to a local government; he has also been a chairman of a local government. He was a Commissioner in the State; he was also the Secretary to the Delta State Government (SSG) and now a Senator. I don’t think he needs any other thing more than these to govern the state”.
“Perhaps, the only position left for him outside being a President is to be a governor of a state and that is what God has given to him”, he averred.
While also describing Senator Okowa as a grassroots politician, a simple, humble man with pedigree and character as well as somebody that has a listening ear, he posited that in all aspects, “he is qualified to govern the state”.
He enjoined Deltans to continue to support PDP and vote for the party in next month’s election, even as he also advised them to wait behind at the polling booths until their votes were counted and announced.
