Delta Sports Commission Congratulates Ogba, Amaju For Resounding Victories

THE Delta State Sports Commission, Asaba, Wednesday congratulated the chairman, Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) Mr. Amaju Pinnick for the exploit of Nigeria U-20 football team otherwise called the Flying Eagles in the just concluded Africa Youth U-20 Championship in Senegal.
The Flying Eagles won the championship by defeating Senegal 1 – 0 in the final after defeating Ghana on the Semi-final to book the final ticket that eventually gave them the glory.
The statement signed by the Director General, Victor Onogagamue, asserted.
“The success of the Flying Eagles at the Championship is as a result of your dexterity and astute managerial ability at organizing the game of football among our youths”. It sated.
It further commended the NFF President for his brilliant performance since he took over the running of football administration in the country.
In another Statement, The Commission also congratulated the President of Athletics Federation of Nigeria (AFN) Chief Solomon Ogba for the resounding victory of Nigeria contingent to the just concluded African Junior Athletic championship in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.
The body observed that the victory of Team Nigeria in the championship was enhanced by the experience garnered by the President of the Federation over the Years as commissioner for Sports and Youths Development in Delta State.
“The victory of Team Nigeria at the 2015 Africa Junior Athletics Championship is no doubt, as a result of your sacrifice, selfless service as well as your unparallel passion for sports development in Nigeria” the statement noted.
The Sports Commission and expressed hope that the Federation under Chief Ogba, will excel and prayed that the nation regain her lost glory in athletics events.
It further commended the NFF President for his brilliant performance since he took over the running of football administration in the country.
