Governor Uduaghan, at the occasion, disclosed that the interest of his administration in executing land-mark projects was to give Asaba, the status of a befitting state capital.
According to him, “we have a lot of projects going on in Asaba to make it a befitting state capital”, disclosing, “this project started two years ago, not eight years ago and today, we are commissioning it”.
He observed that the flyover was very strategic as it will ease traffic on the road which connects Edo State and reduces travelling time from Asaba to Abuja or other parts of the country through Edo State.
“The flyover is very strategic, it is on the road that leads to Abuja, you can drive through this road to Abuja through Ubiaja, Uromi and other towns in Edo State”, he said.
Dr. Uduaghan, who thanked those who contributed to making the project a success, including Deltans for their patience, added, “we envisioned that there will be a time there will be heavy gridlock in this area, that is why we constructed the flyover”.
He assured Deltans that his administration would continue to execute projects.
The state Commissioner for Works, Hon.
