Delta Trade Expo: Ekiyor Woos Financial Institutions

WITH barely Four days away from the kick-off of the 2015 Delta Trade Expo scheduled to begin Friday this week, the Delta State Commissioner for Commerce and Industry, Dr. Chris Ekiyor has intensified efforts wooing Financial Institutions to the Eight days event.
Speaking during an enlarged meeting with some bank officials operating in the state, the Commissioner urged them to participate fully at the event, stressing that the business Expo will provide large Market platform and Business transactions.
He enjoined them to partner with the state government towards making the event a huge success by ensuring full support as well as sponsorship of the eight-day business event. He said, “With the expected 10,000 participants and 400 allocable spaces, you will agree with me that the event will provide a ready market for you (the banks) to market your products and services”
While assuring that the state government has put all modalities in place for a successful Trade Expo, Ekiyor said, “I urge you to avail yourselves of the enormous opportunity provided by this Expo to reach out to customers and make brisk business throughout the duration of the event. As a government, we will ensure that you have good value for the resources and time that you put into the Trade Expo.
“Take advantage of this opportunity and you will not be disappointed.” Ekiyor assures. on his part, the Accountant General of the State, Mr Cyril Agbele assured the various bank representatives of government’s commitment towards ensuring a hitch free Expo, just as he advised them to key into the project.
The POINTER reports that some of the banks that attended the meeting include Zenith bank, Sterling bank, Eco bank, Union bank, Fidelity bank, First bank, Stanbic IBTC bank among others.
