THE Seasiders have arrived Dolisie, venue of the first leg of their Caf Confederation Cup play-off this weekend
Warri Wolves on Friday landed in Congo ahead of Sunday’s group stage play-off, first leg clash in the Caf Confederation Cup against AC Leopards, Moses Etu confirmed to Goal.
The Seasiders will be hoping to upset their hosts who had previously eliminated Nigerian sides Heartland FC and Kano Pillars on the continent.
Wolves have an impressive record in this year’s competition, winning five of their six matches and playing a 0-0 draw against Dedebit FC away in Ethiopia after a 2-0 first leg win.
On their road to the play-off stage, Paul Aigbogun’s men edged out Burkina Faso’s Racing Club Bobo-Dioulasso 4-0 on aggregate in the first round before ejecting FC Etancheite of Democratic
Republic of Congo 3-1 in the second round.
The country’s surviving representatives on the continent will have a feel of the match venue, Stade Dennis Sassou Nguesso, on Saturday evening. The match is scheduled to start on Sunday by 3pm Nigeria time.
