DESOPADEC Commissioner Urges Support For Okowa

DELTANS have been called upon to give maximum support to the in-coming administration of the Governor-elect of Delta State, Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa, to enable him fulfill his campaign promises of bringing prosperity to them.
The member representing Ndokwa nation on the board of Delta State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission (DESOPADEC), Rev. Chukwudi Eke, made this call when he presented an 18-seater bus and N.5m to members of a social cultural group, Aboh Bu Ofu Federated Association, with membership spread across the country, in Asaba.
He stated that now that electioneering is over and Dr. Okowa has emerged victorious, all hands must be on deck to ensure that the in-coming administration is given the conducive environment to implement its laudable agenda packaged for the benefit of the people of the state.
Rev. Eke said that as a tested, trusted and detribalised leader, the Governor-elect needs the cooperation of all Deltans, irrespective of political affiliations, to use his wealth of experience to bring the dividends of democracy to the door steps of the people.
The DESOPADEC Commissioner revealed that he decided to donate the bus to the group in appreciation of their sensitisation and campaign efforts that contributed to the emergence of Dr. Okowa as the Governor-elect as well as the victories of other People’s Democratic Party (PDP) candidates in the last general elections.
Rev. Eke called on other groups to emulate the efforts of Aboh Bu Ofu Federated Association, whose members are also involved in the enlightenment of the youths on the evils of cultism and vandalisation of oil pipelines, in addition to making families and villages in Ndioshimili riverine communities to be united and live as brothers and sisters.
