Otuaro Restates Govt’s Commitment To Bring Prosperity To Deltans

DELTA State Deputy Governor Barr. Kingsley Otuaro has reaffirmed the state government commitment in bringing prosperity to all Deltans through the SMART agenda
Otuaro, who gave the reassurance during an inspection tour of the Nigeria Maritime University Okerenkoko, Burutu Local Government Area, Delta State, thanked his people for the overwhelming support given to the Okowa/Otuaro vision, adding that as government, they are poised towards delivery prosperity to all Deltans as encapsulated in their SMART Agenda.
Addressing the people of Gbaramatu Kingdom, the Director General, Nigeria Maritime Administration and Safety Agency ( NIMASA) Dr. Ziakede Akpobolokemi said the university will be a clear cut from the conventional universities in the country devoid of strike among others, noting that Nigeria Maritime University Okerenkoko is set to come on stream September 2015/16 academic year.
The Vice Chancellor of the university, Prof Maureen Etebu promised the people that they would be carried along in the scheme of things and urged them to cultivate a cordial working relationship.
The Regent of Gbaramatu Kingdom, His Highness, Elder Oyagha P.T commended the Federal Government for the project, saying that the university and the ship/dockyard will bring development in terms of human and infrastructure to the region.
The deputy governor led members of university board on the spot assessment at the temporarily site.
It will be recall that the immediate past President Goodluck Jonathan flaged off the Nigeria Maritime University on May 10, 2014.
