Oharisi Commissions Water Projects At Ughelli North

THE Delta State House of Assembly member representing Ughelli North Constituency II, Hon. Prince Eric Oharisi, over the weekend performed his first official duty to the people of Eruemukohwarien community where he commissioned two water projects.
Commissioning the projects separately provided by the President General of Eruemukohwarien community, Hon. Naira Oteheri Idogun and his exco members including Elders’ Council within 14 days of assumption as the new community exco members, sited at Izomo Primary School and Adagwe Grammar School respectively including the roof of a two classroom block building at the grammar school, Hon. Eric Oharisi commended Barr. Naira led community exco for completing such laudable projects within such a short period of time after assumption of office.

Oharisi, who appreciated the fact that the community leadership knew very well that the government cannot do everything for the community, called on the school managements of Izomo Primary and Adagwe Grammar Schools to adequately maintain the projects put in their hands.
Responding to the President General’s address which contained some needs and challenges facing the community, Oharsi, emphasised that he has taken note of all their demands and desires and assured that he will present the same to the House for attention and would surely get back to them after due consideration by the State House on Constituency projects.
Earlier, the President General of Eruemukohwarien Community, Hon. Idogun Oteheri Naira, in his presidential welcome address had drawn the attention of the Honourable member to some of the immediate needs and other challenges of the ancient oil rich community and appealed to the States House member to intervene on their behalf towards getting them done for the community.
Some of the things the community requested included: the provision of 20 units of a three bedroom bungalow at the community estate, a modern business education centre with at least 40 computers and 20 electric typewriters and a 50KVA generating plant, fencing of Adagwe Grammar School and the rehabilitation of Eruemukohwarien street lights with the provision of two 6.5KVA sound proof generator amongst others.
A member of Ughelli Area Customary Court, Hon. Geroge Unuavwakpa gave the vote of thanks during which the community appreciated Hon. Oharisi for finding time to make them proud with his presence to commission the projects.
