Nigeria Super Eagles ex-international, Benedict Iroha has charge Super Eagles new head Coach, Sunday Ogochukwu Oliseh to tap into our Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL), in other to harness the best talents for the Super Eagles.
He was speaking from his base in USA, from where he applauded the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), for the appointment of Sunday Oliseh, Alloy Agu and other ex-internationals in the job of Super Eagles.
Iroha however noted, that talents abound in every nook and cranny of the country, about 90 per cent of them are plying their trade in the Glo Premier League.
He also acknowledged that, when players in our local league are being given the opportunities to showcase their talents in Super Eagles’ assignments, it would help in restoring confidence in our league, while reminding us of Oliseh’s comment when he said “certain quotas would be reserved for players doing business in our local league”, he revealed.
Iroha expressed joy while praising the League Management Committee (LMC), under the leadership of Alhaji Shehu Dikko, when it announced that the highest goal scorers in NPFL will be given a price named after another ex-international, late Rashidi Yekini, starting from this 2015 league season.
