FGGC Principal Urges Outgoing Students To Use Academic Skills To Enhance Status

OUT-GOING students of Federal Government Girls College (FGGC), Ibusa in Oshimili North local government area of Delta State have been urged to make use of the academic skills and knowledge that they have learnt from their teachers and fellow students during their stay in the college to enhance their status and contribute to societal growth and development.
The Director/Principal of the college, Dr. (Mrs.) Helen Uwaezuoke, gave the advice during the 17th annual speech and prize giving day ceremony of the school held recently at the college premises.
Uwaezuoke disclosed that the advice had become imperative as it would significantly enable them to actualize their full academic potentials in life, adding that they should never underestimate the potentials in them.
“Never underestimate the potentials in you; make use of all the treasures you have learnt from your teachers and fellow students”, she said while reminding them that as ‘FLUENT’ girls, the world is waiting for the unique change that they would bring.
in an emotion laden voice, the Principal said“we shoot youlike arrows into the world. Fly high… may you not miss your targets and your destiny; may God hold you on the palm of His hands and may His light shine upon you. Good bye! God be with you”.
In his remarks, Chief Celestine Okobi who presided over the ceremony enjoined the outgoing students of the college to be wary of the society that they were going into, adding that they should shun social vices, even as he lauded their parents for giving them good education.
