Utagba-Ogbe Monarch Urges Subjects, Residents To Engage In Farming

THE traditional ruler of Utagba-Ogbe kingdom, in Ndokwa West Local Government Area, Nzeuku Isaac Obi has advised his subjects and other residents of his kingdom to engage in subsistence farming in order to cushion the effects of the current economic recession in the country.
The Utagba-Ogbe monarch gave the advice in his New Year Goodwill message to the people.
He thanked God Almighty for a peaceful and successful 2016 and prayed that the current 2017 be more prosperous.
Nzeuku Obi particularly commended his people, youths in particular, for their peaceful disposition in the out-gone year and urged them to keep the tempo on.
He also advised the politicians to attract meaningful dividends of democracy to the people of the kingdom, noting that Utagba-Ogbe kingdom is rich in oil and gas deposits which contribute to the national economy and urged all oil companies operating within the kingdom to apply technical measures in minimizing the effects of the environmental hazards generated by their oil exploration and sustain their Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) to the host communities.
While pledging the continual support of the kingdom to government at all levels, the Utagba-Ogbe monarch lauded the state government for according the traditional institution a sense of recognition in the state and advised Deltans, particularly Utagba-Ogbe people to rally round the present administration of Senator Ifeanyi Okowa.
