Ufuoma Fish Farmers To Commence Cultivation Of Tilapia

IN its determination to maximize
the potentials within her reach,
the United Ufuoma Fish Farmers
Association, Ekpan, Uvwie Local
Government Area, Delta State, is now
set to commence the cultivation of
Tilapia in their farms.
This was made known by the
President of the association Mr. John
Ihesinaulo recently during a meeting
of the association in Ekpan to xray the
progress of the association and plans
that would benefit members.
At the well attended meeting by the
members of the Board of Trustee, the
Ihesinaulo disclosed that the water
in the fish farm have been tested and
certified suitable for Tilapia cultivation
by Grand Cereal (Vita Feeds)
and the association is now waiting
for them to commence distribution
of theTilapia Fingerlings to the
farmers.
He noted the achievements of his
administration among others to be
the reduction of incident of stealing
of fish from their Ponds, conclusion of
arrangement with Eagle Flight Micro
Finance Bank and Sterling Bank for
disbursement of loan to members.
He also disclosed that his administration
has brought in unity and
harmony among members.
A five-man committee was set up
to audit the books of the association.
The committee is headed by Pa
Udensi and has Mrs Eregare
Judith, AbednegoUtoreagoma, Mrs.
Ajayi Elizabeth and the General Secretary
ofthe association Pat Amata
as members.
The highpoint of the meeting was
the passing of a confidence vote on
Ihesinaulo administration after a motion
moved by Abednego Utoreagoma
and was seconded by Umukoro Wisdom.
The meeting was attended by
the chairman and members of the
BOT including Chief Joshua Ughere,
EyakidoEfemena, Juliet Emiovwo
and Mrs Victoria Ekpokpobe. Alsoin
attendance are Mr John Ihesinaulo
(President), Pat Amata(General Secretary),
Moses Ojame (Financial
Secretary),Garand Emmanuel (Treasurer),
Dalandi Godwin (Assistant
Secretary) and Ojefia Charles (PRO).
