We’ll Give Pdp Worthy Convention –Okowa

The Governor of Delta, Dr Ifeanyi
Okowa, has assured that the
Peoples Democratic Party (PDP)
would deliver a non-elective convention
that members would be proud of
on Saturday.
Okowa, who is the Chairman of the
Non-Elective Convention Committee
of the party, gave the assurance at the
committee’s meeting in Abuja.
The committee and two other
standing ones – Disciplinary and
Reconciliation – were inaugurated
on Tuesday by the Chairman of the
National Caretaker Committee of the
party, Sen. Ahmed Makarfi.
Okowa said that though the period
for preparing for the event was
short, the committee would face the
challenge and deliver a successful

leaders, the chairmen and the secretaries
of our sub-committees that we
will do a good work.
“And, because we are an organised
party, before today, some level of work
has been done about the convention

have done before today,” he said.

that members of the committee were
committed and would do their best
to deliver.

Okowa announced that the convention
would hold at the Eagle Square in
Abuja, adding that the presence of the
party’s chieftain at the inauguration
of the committees on Tuesday was an
