Monarch Commends Dci-Afrihealth Leadership Over Town Hall Meeting

The Obi of Idumu-Ogo Kingdom, HRM Obi Samuel
Otiegede The III has commended the leadership
of Delta Cultural Initiative (DCI) Worldwide, led by
its Founder/ Executive Director, Comrade Victor Bieni,
Afrihealth Optonet Associations, led by its National Coordinator
, Dr Uzodinma Adirije and the United Nations
Democracy Fund on the initiative to conduct a Town Hall
meeting in his domain.
The Obi also commended the DCI for the formation and
inauguration of Community Consultative Committee (CCC)
in his community, which he said was aimed at promoting
sustainable citizens participation (SCP) Project in Communities
within the Niger Delta Region of Nigeria.
The Monarch spoke to newsmen at the weekend in his
palace at Idumu-Ogoin, Anoicha North Local Government
of Delta State.
He noted that his community has many challenges as
his people were predominantly farmers but would specifically
want international communities, stakeholders,
local, state and the Federal Government to help them in
renovating their only primary school building that is at
present completely dilapidated.
Diei primary School, Idumu-ogo, according to him, was
built in early 1950s and DCI-Afrihealth UNDEF are doing
their best in the locality and we are going to support
them”
He, therefore appealed to community leaders, sons
and daughters of Idumu-ogo Community within and in
the diaspora, well meaning, Anoicha North people, Deltans
and other stakeholders to support the project in his
community.
