NANTMP Commends Okowa’s Developmental Strides

NATIONAL Association
of Nigerian Traditional
Medicine
Practitioners,NANTMP,has
commend the developmental
strides of Gov Ifeanyi
Okowa, saying that the
present administration in
the state has initiated and
executed many landmark
and people oriented projects
across different parts
of the state.
The association which
spoke through its Chairman,
Chief Dr Odogun
Aminu Asewo said that they
are happy with the achievements
of Governor Okowa
since his assumption of office
on May 29, 2015.
He pointed out that irrespective
of the economic
challenges in the country,
Okowa has continued to do
his best to better the lives
of Deltans,adding that the
Okowa’s administration
has performed creditably
well in the areas of youth/
women empowerment, job
creation, agriculture, road
construction,education and
health care.
While assuring the governor
of his association’s
total support for his administration,
he called on Deltans
to ensure that Okowa
is re-elected into office in
2019.
In another development,
Chief Dr Asewo advised
traditional medicine practitioners
in the state who
are yet to register with the
board regulating traditional
medicine practice in the
state to so.
He noted that his executive
is the only body authorized by the constitution
to conduct election
among the local chapters
of NANTMP in the state and
also facilitate the licensing
of members, warning that
anyone who tries to the
contrary will be treated like
a criminal.
Al so speaking, the
Deputy State Chairman
of the association, Chief
D.O.Sajere,said that traditional
medicine practice
has come to stay in the
state just as he called on
all traditional medicine
practitioners in the state
to register with the board
constituted by government
to regulate their affairs.
