Safugha Admonishes Youths To Shun Violence, Other Social Vices

YOUTHS have been admonished to shun violence, cultism and other social vices.
The state Commissoner for Energy, Barr. Newworld Safugha gave the admonition during the Ijaw Cultural Day of the Bomadi Local Government Area Students’ Association (BOLGASA) held in Bomadi.
The commissoner, while expressing gratitude to BOLGASA members for being proud of their cultural heritage and honouring him with an award of excellence, said that violence, cultism and other vices were capable of leading them to self destruction and causing nuisance to the society.
He urged the association to keep up with the good work and continue to be role models to the youths in other communities.
Barr. Safugha, who spoke through his Special Assistant, Raphael Ayeyebo, pledged his support to the association, encouraging them to take their studies seriously, saying that it was a sure way for a better future.
The President of the Association, Comrade Okoba Godwin Dortimi, thanked the commissioner for all his support towards the association, promising that members of the association would continue to make Ijaw land proud.
Okoba also noted that the award of excellence given to Barr. Newworld Safugha was in recognition of his incomparable leadership skills, friendliness and support to the association, Ijaw people and Deltans as a whole.
