Delta State Governor, Senator Ifeanyi Okowa has warned residents of the state, particularly those resident in Asaba to stop indiscriminate dump of refuse on the medians of the Nnebisi road and other major roads in the state.
He pointed out that the way some persons dump refuse
on the median of roads was unbecoming, adding that government woul be compelled to impose higher fine or send defaulters to jail to serve as a deterrent to others.

According to him “I don’t know what is wrong with some persons; how can somebody dump refuse on road median? Something has to be done to stop this; government
is going to impose higher fines or send some persons
to jail to serve as deterrent to others” He appealed to residents to have a change of attitude and join hands with government to make the state clean.
