College Of Health To Celebrate Silver Jubilee, Hold Convocation

THE Delta State College of Health Technology (DELSCOHTECH), Ofuoma-Ughelli is set to celebrate its 25 years of existence.
A statement signed by the Provost of the institution, Dr. (Mrs.) Agnes Olojoba and made available to newsmen stated that the silver jubilee celebration will coincide with the 23rd matriculation ceremony of the college.
According to the provost, “the Governing Council of our institution which has Dr. Pharm. Nelson Ejakpovi as chairman has approved a three-pronged event for the College – silver jubilee, 23rd matriculation and 7th convocation ceremonies of the college.”
“From Wednesday, February 21, 2018, which is the day for thanksgiving to Thursday, billed for matriculation and Friday, which is the date for the silver jubilee celebration till Saturday which will cap the event with national cultural fiesta, we expect our old students in particular, top government functionaries, traditional rulers, lovers of education and good health in particular to attend the events,” Dr. Olojoba said.
Dr. Olojoba stated that the college had achieved a lot within its 25 years of existence, noting that Governor Ifeanyi Okowa’s administration has contributed immensely to its growth.
The provost specifically said, “The celebrations are in a way, to thank God for what He has used Governor Okowa’s administration to do for our college and the lives of our children who are graduates of the college.”
“We have a lot to thank God for, we have a lot to celebrate, we have achieved a lot and there is hope for a better future for the college, our dear state and our country,” Dr. Olojoba emphasised.
