THE Secretary to Delta State Government, Comrade Ovuozourie Macaulay (SSG), has expressed his gratitude to all those who played various roles towards the quick release of his son, Mackson Macaulay, who was abducted last Monday morning.

Reacting to the release of the son, Macaulay said his gratitude goes first to God his creator who has always come to his rescue in times of distress.

In his words “my faith in God is as solid as the rock and I know that my help will always come from the Lord who made Heaven and Earth. I thank God because I know that they trust in the Lord shall be as Mount Zion which cannot be removed but abideth forever.”

He expressed his profound gratitude to the state Governor, Dr. Emmanuel Uduaghan who availed him all the necessary security apparatus to track down the hoodlums.

He also expressed gratitude to his friends, political associates and all those who showed concern about the ordeal and worked in one way or the other to ensure the release of his son, especially the State Police Command and other Security Agencies.

On the criminal act of kidnapping, Macaulay said, “kidnapping will soon be as thing of the past in Delta State because, the state government has acquired the most sophisticated equipment for the tracking down of those who indulge in such act.He appealed to all Deltans to assist the security agencies in smoking out all criminals by reporting suspected persons of dubious character to the Police. This he said is because security of any society is not only for the security agencies but for all.

Mackson Macaulay was released Tuesday evening without any ransom paid. The young man is hale and healthy after the ordeal.
