Work Begins On Failed Portions Of Dennis Osadebay Way

AS part of its desire to improve road networks in Asaba, the state capital, the Delta State Government has commenced the rehabilitation of the failed portion of Dennis Osadebay Way.
When The POINTER visited the area during the week, the contracting firm, Deux Construction Company was seen with equipment and men carrying out serious work on the road.
Speaking to newsmen, Mr. Michael Nwaokolo, the site engineer, said the company will do its best to make the road motorable.
He said government decided to effect the repairs due to the importance of the road and as part of its pledge to provide good roads in the state capital and the other parts of the state.
Some of the residents of the area thanked Governor Emmanuel Uduaghan for the laudable project. It was noted that before government’s intervention, the failed potion of the road had posed a nightmare to road users and that the repair of the road is one of the many good things coming to the area in recent times.
They urged the contractor handling the project to do a good job to prevent a similar road failure occurring in the future and advised the relevant government agency to closely monitor the contractor to ensure speedy and quality completion of the project.
