Why We’re Not Grieving Over Mama’s Death, Says Governor’s Wife

Her Excellency, Mrs. Roli Nere Uduaghan, has said that her late mother, Madam Rebecca Ayomike died in the Lord having lived a good life where she served God with a sincere heart and stood on her feet to serve God even in the midst of crisis.

“We are not sorrowing because we knew were Mama has gone to stay,” she said, adding that “God honours those who honour Him. Mama is gone because she has finished her role. If it happens to any of us now, are we sure of making heaven?”

The First Lady advised sympathizers and different groups on condolence visitsover her mother’s death to always hold on to Christ and to live a holy and righteous life in order to make heaven.

Speaking at the family house at Ugbuwangue in Warri yesterday, Mrs. Uduaghan said “I believe that my mother has made heaven. In every situation, she kept on believing in God to the core. There is nobody who got in contact with her without her leading the person to the knowledge of  God.”

She advised that wherever we are today, it is good to make our stand because mama stood clear and knew her stand. She thanked God for the life mama lived, pointing out that they are consoled by the fact that she is resting in the bosom of the Almighty God.

The various groups were Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) women from Delta Central, Delta North and Delta South Senatorial Districts, PDP Warri North, Living Faith Church (aka Winners Chapel), Asaba led by Pastor David Olorusebi, Delta Broadcasting Service (DBS), Asaba led by the General Manager, Barrister Albert Oshogho, among others.

They said that they came to commiserate with Mrs. Uduaghan on the death of her mother, Mama Rebecca Ayomike who slept in the Lord recently. They prayed that God will give her and the entire Ayomike family the heart to bear the loss.

Meanwhile, many have continued to pay tributes to the late Mama Rebecca Ayomike. Mrs. Betty Efekhoda, Hon. Commissioner for Women Affairs, said that mama lived a fulfilled and fruitful life and described her as a woman and mother full of love and peace, adding that the good women of Delta State will miss her.

Chief Nkem Okwuofu, Chairman, Local Government Service Commission, said that Mama lived a very good life and that above all, she knew her Lord and maker and that without doubt, she is already seated with the Lord.
