A scholar of note and chieftain of the Peo­ple’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Ika South Local Government Area of Delta State, Sir Boniface Osa Ebite has applauded the state governor, Sena­tor Ifeanyi Okowa for his resilience and patriotic commitment towards sus­tainable growth and devel­opment of the state.

Ebite who made the com­mendation while speaking in an interview with The Pointer at his residence in Agbor, said Governor Okowa had done enor­mously well through the faithful implementation of the well-orchestrated policies and programmes of his administration to the admiration of Deltans and non-Deltans residing in the state.

According to him, the governor, through his monumental exploits in the political terrain an­chored on the threshold of good governance, had put in place, policy frame­work that had provided the needed ambience for residents in the state to legitimately enhance their socio-economic lives.

He noted that Governor Okowa’s achievements cuts across different sectors of the state economy, point­ing out that the governor had written his name in the sands of time since his administration came on board five years ago.

While savouring the achievements of the gov­ernor in the areas of health care services, road infra­structure, educational development , agricul­ture, wealth creation and employment generation through the entrepreneur­ial development initiative of his administration among others, Ebite felicitated with him (Okowa) for posi­tively impacting on the socio-economic lives of residents in the state.

Having successfully exe­cuted his SMART Agenda to the admiration of residents in the state in his first term of four years in office, the PDP chieftain said, Okowa is now consolidating on his achievements for Deltans through the Stronger Delta initiative in his second ten­ure in office.

As the governor cele­brates the first year of his second tenure in office, Ebite disclosed that it was his fervent prayer that Al­mighty God should con­tinue to strengthen him (Okowa) and members of the state executive coun­cil with good health, long life and the Wisdom of Solomon to enable pilot the affairs of the state to a glorious height.
